“£100K Premium Bonds Win for Tyne And Wear Saver”

Date:

In the latest Premium Bonds draw in August 2026, a fortunate winner from Tyne And Wear, who had only saved £650, walked away with a substantial £100,000 prize. This win came just four months after they purchased the winning bond in March 2026. The £100,000 prize is the second-largest available in the Premium Bonds scheme, with the top prize being £1 million.

The August 2026 draw also saw two £1 million prizes awarded. The first £1 million winner, hailing from Kent, held £21,000 in Premium Bonds, with the winning bond number 664BF890888 purchased in February 2026. The second £1 million winner, from Hampshire and Isle of Wight, had £49,850 invested in Premium Bonds, with the winning bond number 491KF169443 bought in March 2022.

Moreover, in a surprising turn, individuals with minimal savings in Premium Bonds also struck it lucky. One person with just £20 saved since July 1981 won £50,000, while another with £30 saved since December 1979 also received the same prize.

Premium Bonds, a savings product by NS&I, offers a unique way to potentially win significant cash prizes through monthly draws instead of traditional interest rates. The prize range varies from £25 to £1 million, with odds of winning currently at 22,000 to 1 for every £1 bond. Prize winners have the option to receive their winnings directly into their bank account or reinvest in more Premium Bonds.

To check if they have won, bondholders can utilize the NS&I online prize checker tool or the Premium Bonds prize checker app. With over 22 million people participating in the Premium Bonds scheme, the draw continues to capture the interest of savers seeking a chance at substantial prizes.
