Alton Towers is set to introduce a new attraction inspired by the popular Australian cartoon, Bluey. The Heeler family from the show will have their own ride at the theme park’s CBeebies Land area. Bluey has gained immense popularity among pre-schoolers worldwide, becoming the top show on CBeebies in the UK with over a billion streams on BBC iPlayer.
The new ride, named Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies!, will open on March 28 just in time for the Easter holidays. To celebrate the announcement, a giant portrait of Bluey made from 11,000 cans of beans was unveiled, paying homage to the beloved characters Janet and Rita.
Natasha Spence, Events Director at BBC Studios, expressed excitement about the ride, which will be tailored for young children and families. The attraction will take guests on a journey through Bluey’s backyard, offering a unique and immersive experience.
In addition to the new ride, Alton Towers will be adding Bluey-themed rooms to its CBeebies Land Hotel. These rooms will feature designs inspired by the Heeler family home, complete with bunk beds and vibrant Bluey-themed decor. Families can also opt for suites that accommodate up to seven guests, providing ample space and a playroom-style area for kids to enjoy.
For those interested in visiting the park, Alton Towers is offering a special deal where booking an overnight stay starting at £95 per person includes an annual pass for each guest. This offer provides an opportunity to experience Bluey the Ride and other attractions within CBeebies Land. Visitors can learn more and secure their tickets on the Alton Towers website.
CBeebies Land already offers various Bluey experiences, including live shows and meet-and-greets with the characters, enhancing the overall family-friendly atmosphere. Guests can look forward to an unforgettable stay at the CBeebies Land Hotel, complete with kid-friendly activities, evening entertainment, and buffet breakfasts.
