After multiple violations of the MPs’ code of conduct related to his disclosed additional income, Nigel Farage’s earnings along with other MPs’ salaries are revealed. Farage failed to report his income from extra jobs within the required timeframe set by parliamentary standards. His additional income of £384,000 was declared late, contributing to his total fortune of £1.6 million from 15 secondary jobs since becoming an MP in July 2024.
In addition to his annual MP salary of £93,904, Farage’s primary income source is presenting for GP News, generating around £664,000. He also earned £415,000 as an ambassador for Direct Bullion and £180,000 from Cameo, a video messaging platform.
The latest disclosure in the Register of Members Financial Interests also sheds light on Rishi Sunak’s secondary job as an advisor for AI firm Anthropic, which has earned a charity he founded £373,000. Sunak has received 3,547 shares from Anthropic, valued at £373,000, to be donated to charity over the next year. The recipient charity, the Richmond Project, founded by Sunak and his wife Akshata Murty, will benefit from this donation.
With the shares distributed gradually, Sunak’s total earnings from secondary jobs post-general election have surpassed £1.0 million, making him the second-highest earning MP in Parliament based on the even distribution of shares over the 12-month employment period.
