A man has admitted to carrying out two acts of terrorism by setting fire to a pub owned by Conor McGregor and attacking two police officers with a knife.
Abdullah Khan, 24, was accused of setting the Black Forge Inn ablaze on July 25 last year, causing damage to the front of the establishment. Just four days later, he allegedly assaulted two officers in Dublin city center.
Khan faced charges of harming one officer and attempting to harm another. During the incident, he also brandished a knife and engaged in behavior that posed a significant risk of harm.
Police officers reportedly used batons and pepper spray to detain Khan after he resisted arrest.
In addition to the assault charges, Khan was accused of engaging in terrorist activities on July 25 and 29 of the same year. He pleaded guilty to all eight charges before the court.
The case was adjourned by Ms. Justice Karen O’Connor for victim impact statements, with the defendant remaining in custody until the next court date.
