“Manhunt Underway for Suspect in Triple Homicide”

Date:

A manhunt is currently in progress for a suspected assailant who is believed to have fatally shot three individuals, including his former pregnant partner. Authorities in New South Wales, Australia, are actively searching for Julian Ingram, also known as Pierpoint, aged 37, in connection with the alleged triple homicide that occurred in Lake Cargelligo on January 22.

Reports confirm that before the tragic shooting incident, Ingram had been released on bail for prior domestic violence charges. The Sydney Morning Herald has identified the victims as Sophie Quinn, 24, and her acquaintance John Harris, 32, who were shot while driving a vehicle on Bokhara Street in Lake Cargelligo.

After the initial shooting, Ingram proceeded to a residence in the town where he allegedly shot Sophie’s aunt, Nerida Quinn, 50. Another individual, Kaled Macqueen, 19, was also shot and sustained serious injuries on the driveway of the same property on Walker Street.

Following their separation, Ingram reportedly had a history of assaulting Quinn, leading to his previous charges of stalking, intimidation, and assault. Despite pleading not guilty, he was due to appear in court on February 3. Ingram’s bail terms mandated daily reporting to local authorities and prohibited any contact with Quinn or being within a 100-meter radius of her.

Authorities have confirmed a domestic relationship between the suspect and one of the victims. It has been noted that Ingram did not possess a gun license. Police are seeking public assistance to locate the suspect, described as having Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander features, standing approximately 165cm-170cm tall, of medium build, with short dark hair and brown eyes.

The suspect was last spotted driving a Ford Ranger utility vehicle with NSW registration DM-07-GZ, displaying council markings, a metal tray back, high visibility side markings, and an emergency light bar on the roof. In response to the incident, a significant police presence has been deployed in Lake Cargelligo, with over 100 officers actively searching for the perpetrator.

NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Andy Holland has advised residents to remain indoors, away from windows, and report any suspicious activities, including in their yards or any suspicious vehicles, to law enforcement. Holland expressed deep concern over the impact of the tragedy on the small community of Lake Cargelligo.
