The family of a beloved taxi driver, MasrobAli, is grieving after he tragically lost his life in a fatal crash in Bolton. Masrob, a 54-year-old Uber driver from Blackburn, was involved in a head-on collision on Wigan Road in Bolton while driving his Citroen C4 Picasso. The crash, which occurred on a Saturday evening, claimed Masrob’s life and also resulted in the deaths of three teenagers in the other vehicle. Two passengers in Masrob’s taxi sustained life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital.
Masrob had been working as a taxi driver for about ten years, often working late-night shifts that concerned his family. His daughter, Humayra, described him as a kind and gentle soul who reassured them of his safety. The family has received an outpouring of support from relatives and friends during this difficult time.
Humayra fondly remembered her father as the best dad, stating that he was always kind and had no enemies. She expressed her shock and confusion upon learning about the tragic accident, emphasizing her father’s safe driving record and caring nature.
The family was informed that Masrob passed away instantly in the collision, sparing him from any pain. They commended the Greater Manchester Police for their support and assistance, particularly in facilitating a visit to see Masrob at the mortuary.
The authorities are currently investigating the crash, with CCTV footage already collected for examination. Humayra confirmed that the evidence indicates her father was not at fault in the collision and did nothing wrong. Witnesses who may have additional information are urged to contact the police.
