Passengers safely evacuated prior to a sudden bus fire incident that occurred today on Ormskirk Road in Aintree. The fire, which engulfed a single-decker Arriva bus, was extinguished by the Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service within 20 minutes of their arrival at 11:55 am.

Following the incident, emergency workers closed Ormskirk Road towards switch island while they managed the aftermath and recovery of the bus. Fortunately, all passengers and the bus driver were safely evacuated before the fire broke out, with no reported injuries.

Arriva confirmed the safe evacuation of all passengers, stating that the Merseyside Fire Service was actively handling the situation. They assured that everyone was unharmed and emphasized the importance of avoiding the area due to traffic disruptions caused by the incident.
