“Epstein Files: Trump’s Surprising Mention Frequency”

Date:

The investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal activities, primarily involving sexual offenses against women and girls, which began in 1996, culminated in the release of a vast amount of documents, photos, videos, and emails under the November 2025 Epstein Files Transparency Act, authorized by Donald Trump.

Of particular interest is the frequent mention of President Trump among the key names found in the 3.5 million disclosed pages, alongside notable figures such as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and Steve Bannon.

Surprisingly, reports indicate that references to the former business magnate and media personality surpass the frequency of the word “God” in most English Bible translations. While the word “God” typically appears between 3,300 and 4,500 times in the Bible, an analysis by the New York Times revealed over 5,300 file references to Trump by the Department of Justice.

Moreover, the newspaper uncovered more than 38,000 mentions of Trump, Melania Trump, Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, and other related terms, drawing comparisons to the frequency of mentions of Harry Potter’s first name throughout the seven-book series, amounting to approximately 18,956 times.

While not all documents implicate the President, the collection includes various materials like emails and news articles gathered during investigations into Epstein’s lifestyle, most of which were stored in Epstein’s email accounts.

Although Trump and Epstein were reportedly acquainted in the past, their relationship deteriorated over time, with sources suggesting that Trump was aware of Epstein’s wrongdoing. Trump has consistently denied any involvement in Epstein’s alleged misconduct and downplayed their association.

Recent findings from a 2019 FBI interview included in the Files feature a former Palm Beach police chief, Michael Reiter, revealing that Trump contacted him in 2006 following the commencement of police inquiries into Epstein. Reiter stated that Trump acknowledged Epstein’s misdeeds, thanked the department, and claimed to have banned Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago club due to public sentiment.

Conversely, some tips submitted to the FBI through its National Threat Operations Center identified Trump as one of the high-profile individuals mentioned in the files with potentially scandalous information, although no concrete evidence was provided.

One document contains handwritten notes from a victim alleging being taken to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club with the intention of meeting him, but these claims remain unverified.

During a parliamentary exchange on February 11, Rep. Jared Moskowitz highlighted Trump’s frequent mentions in the Files, drawing parallels between the mentions of Trump, God in the Bible, and Harry Potter in the series. This led to the documents being colloquially referred to as the “Trump Bible.”

In response, Attorney General Pam Bondi expressed offense at the comparison, stating that mocking the Bible by labeling the documents as the “Trump Bible” was inappropriate and disrespectful.

The Department of Justice has acknowledged withholding nearly 48,000 files for further review and expects them to be available for public access by the end of the week.
