KOLD received an email related to the Guthrie case on social media that day but refrained from disclosing specific details until the FBI completed its investigation.
Several press outlets, including KOLD, received alleged ransom letters during the week, with monetary demands and set deadlines. Law enforcement officials are treating all leads seriously, despite not confirming the credibility of the letters. One letter mentioned Nancy Guthrie’s Apple watch and a particular aspect of her property.
In a series of videos released throughout the week, pleas were made to potential kidnappers, as the search for the missing Arizona resident, Nancy Guthrie, continued into its seventh day. Investigators suspect that Nancy was forcibly taken from her home near Tucson over the previous weekend. DNA analysis confirmed that blood found on her porch matched Nancy’s DNA, according to Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos. No suspects have been identified, and no individuals have been ruled out.
Sheriff Nanos expressed frustration on Friday about the lack of footage captured by a camera at Nancy Guthrie’s residence on the day she disappeared. Investigators discovered that the doorbell camera was disconnected early Sunday, with recorded movement at the property shortly afterward. However, without an active subscription, no images were recoverable.
