Tiger Woods was in a car accident in Jupiter, Florida, where a vehicle ended up overturned. The Martin County’s Sheriff’s Office confirmed the incident occurred at approximately 2pm local time, in the vicinity where Woods resides.

Law enforcement is currently probing the matter, with a county sheriff scheduled to address the media at 5pm ET. This comes after Woods experienced a single-car crash in southern California in 2021, resulting in significant leg injuries as his vehicle rolled multiple times.
Following the accident, Woods underwent surgery for ‘open fractures’ in his right leg, including the insertion of a rod in his tibia and screws and pins in his foot and ankle. Subsequently, he had another surgical procedure in April 2023 to address injuries from the crash.
The incident unfolds as Woods strives to make a comeback to golf after a hiatus due to various injuries. The 50-year-old’s most recent competitive participation was at the 2024 Open, where he did not qualify.
After undergoing lumbar disc replacement surgery and encountering a ruptured Achilles tendon setback while training for the Masters last year, Woods recently shared his progress towards a potential return at Augusta National next month, stating, “I’ve been working on it.”
Additionally, Woods participated in the TGL Finals at Jupiter Links Golf Club this week, where his team fell short against Los Angeles Golf Club with a score of 9-2.
Addressing his potential return for the Masters, Woods expressed, “I’ve been trying, this body doesn’t recover like it did when I was 24, 25. It doesn’t mean I’m not trying; I’ve been trying for a while.”
Reflecting on his TGL experience, Woods mentioned, “It was fine physically. We got our a** kicked at the end.”
