Woman Missing for Decades Found Working as Investigator

Date:

A woman named Christina Plante, who went missing as a teenager in 1994 from her parents’ home in Star Valley, Arizona, has been found safe and well after several decades. It has been revealed that she had been working for a private investigator during her absence.

Now at the age of 44, Christina Plante disappeared when she was just 13 years old. Despite extensive search efforts at the time, she remained missing, turning the case into a cold one for local law enforcement. Last week, she was located in Springfield, Missouri, a significant distance away from where she vanished, where she had established a successful career and a happy family life.

Ms. Plante had married young and had three sons with her husband before pursuing a psychology degree and joining a private investigations firm. She has chosen not to speak publicly about her reappearance, with updates coming through the Gila County Sheriff’s Office, which managed to locate her but found her uncooperative in providing details about her disappearance.

According to Jim Lahti, the Gila County Chief Deputy, Christina Plante admitted to running away from home but has not been forthcoming about other aspects of her past. Her husband, Shawn Hollon, mentioned that she is still processing the situation and has shared some information with him, but he indicated that further details would need to come from her directly.

Despite the closure of the missing person’s case with Christina Plante’s discovery, the specifics of her time away from home remain closely guarded out of respect for her privacy and well-being. The Gila Sheriff’s Office had been actively investigating the case for years, with national missing children databases and widespread distribution of missing person flyers aimed at finding her. Periodic re-examinations of evidence and pursuit of new leads were conducted over the years in the hope of locating her.
