“Fatal Collision in Shenleybury: 2 Killed, Suspected Drug Driving Arrest”

Two individuals lost their lives in a serious collision involving four vehicles, while another driver was apprehended for suspected drug driving in Shenleybury, Hertfordshire. The tragic incident occurred between Shenley and London Colney, prompting a rapid response from emergency services who confirmed the fatalities at the scene.

Law enforcement officers discovered a black Vauxhall Astra, a silver Mercedes Vito, a silver Toyota Yaris, and a black Hyundai i30 at the crash site. The drivers of the Astra and the Yaris, who were involved in the collision, succumbed to their injuries. A 27-year-old man driving the Hyundai was arrested on suspicion of various offenses including causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drugs. He has been released on bail pending further investigation.

Detective Sergeant Ben Heath of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Serious Collision Investigation Unit expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and urged anyone with information or dash-cam footage of the incident to come forward.
