The supporter, an 84-year-old English national, was pronounced dead in central Porto following resuscitation attempts. The authorities believe the death was due to natural causes, and the body has been transferred for further examination.
The British consular services will be informed of the fan’s demise. Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 in the first leg and will face FC Porto again at home.
