In a recent court hearing, it was revealed that the former spouse of a man who fell victim to a vicious sulfuric acid assault was allegedly involved with the drug lord orchestrating the attack. Paris Wilson, 34, had connections with the deceased, Danny Cahalane, a fitness instructor, stemming from their initial meeting in prison where Cahalane was incarcerated for drug distribution. Wilson is currently facing trial alongside nine other individuals regarding the death of Cahalane, who was killed by members of a drug syndicate led by Frost, also known as Ryan Kennedy, due to an unpaid drug debt amounting to £120,000.
The fatal incident occurred in February 2025 when two assailants reportedly broke into Cahalane’s residence in Plymouth, Devon, and subjected him to a sulfuric acid assault, resulting in his demise ten days later in a hospital.
During the trial at Winchester Crown Court, Prosecutor Miss Joanna Martin KC alleged that Wilson and Cahalane had tied the knot following their initial encounter in prison, subsequently having a child together. Martin stated that Wilson was well aware of Cahalane’s illicit activities to generate income, emphasizing that Wilson played a pivotal role in the drug scene in Plymouth.
It was disclosed that Frost had been in contact with Wilson, using her as a source to track Cahalane’s movements with the promise of monetary rewards. Wilson had expressed concerns to her mother, Karen, about Frost’s intentions and had been actively involved in facilitating Frost’s plan to harm Cahalane.
Furthermore, it was revealed that another individual, Jude Hill, who had connections to the drug trade, was implicated in smuggling cannabis into the UK. The court proceedings indicated that Cahalane had acknowledged his monetary indebtedness to Frost, with Frost resorting to extreme measures to enforce the debt and establish dominance over Cahalane.
The prosecution alleged that Cahalane’s murder was orchestrated by individuals affiliated with Frost, with ten defendants standing trial on charges including murder, manslaughter, attempted kidnapping, and participation in organized criminal activities. The defendants have denied all charges, and the trial is expected to span ten weeks.
