A police appeal has been initiated following a fatal road accident that claimed the life of Phillip Thompson, a 54-year-old man. The incident occurred on the A75, located west of Dumfries in Scotland. The crash involved a BMW X5 and was reported at 12.50 pm on January 16. Despite the efforts of emergency services, Thompson, the driver of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
