Royal expert Jennie Bond believes that the King’s decisive actions against Prince Andrew have been justified following the recent release of Epstein files. The documents, part of over three million files disclosed by the US Department of Justice, contain images showing the former Duke of York with an unidentified woman. Other revelations include email exchanges between Andrew and Epstein regarding a Russian woman, as well as an invitation to Buckingham Palace after Epstein’s guilty plea.
Last October, Andrew was stripped of his royal titles, including his princely status, by the King due to what was deemed as “serious lapses of judgment,” particularly his continued association with Epstein despite previous claims of having cut ties. Despite Andrew’s denial of any misconduct, the latest documents have further raised concerns about his relationship with Epstein.
Jennie Bond expressed her views on the matter, highlighting the questionable nature of Andrew’s connections to Epstein and the King’s decision to take action. She mentioned that the forthcoming relocation of Andrew from Royal Lodge to a smaller residence on the Sandringham estate is a significant consequence of his actions. However, she believes that the royal family is unlikely to pursue further measures against him, considering the family ties and the King’s sense of responsibility towards his brother’s well-being.
As Andrew prepares to move, Jennie does not anticipate additional actions being taken against him by the palace. Despite the drastic measures taken last year, she emphasized the familial aspect within the monarchy and the King’s likely considerations for Andrew’s physical and mental welfare. This sentiment suggests that the current measures may not be exceeded by any additional actions from the royal family.
