A 61-year-old primary school teacher, Lyndi Corston, has been removed from her position after being discovered engaging in explicit activities on adult websites under the persona of a ‘granny school teacher’. This decision was made by a Teaching Regulation Agency conduct panel.
Corston, who was employed by Engage Education/Workwell Ltd in London, participated in creating sexually explicit videos that were shared on the internet between January 2023 and January 2025. She also confessed to appearing on pornographic websites using the description ‘granny school teacher’. Corston acknowledged that her actions constituted unacceptable professional conduct that could harm the reputation of the teaching profession.
Initially an Early Years Foundation Stage teacher, Corston began working at Rye primary school in Sussex on a short-term supply basis starting in November 2022. Concerns about her online activities arose in September 2024 when a colleague noticed an OnlyFans notification on her phone.
Corston admitted to owning the account, which contained nudity but not explicit sexual content, under a different name. She complied with the request to close the account and adhere to an enhanced code of conduct. However, in January 2025, it was reported that Corston was involved in sexual activities on a pornographic website, leading to further investigations.
During the hearing, it was revealed that Corston willingly participated in an explicit video involving sexual intercourse, which was accessible online behind a paywall. Despite expressing regret and apologizing for her actions, she was found guilty by the panel, which emphasized that her conduct, though outside the educational setting, could have a detrimental impact on students.
As a result, Stuart Blomfield, acting on behalf of the Secretary of State, ruled that Corston is permanently banned from teaching. She may request a review of the prohibition after two years.
