An online personality known for promoting fast-track wealth courses faced criticism for flaunting his use of a £150,000 private jet departing from Dubai, while previously stating that the UAE was safer than London.
Samuel Leeds, aged 34, received backlash for sharing videos aboard a plane leaving Dubai for Heathrow, with many finding his actions ostentatious. Leeds, who offers controversial online courses on property investment with promises of making a million pounds and avoiding taxes, relocated to Dubai to minimize tax obligations. Amid tensions in the Middle East due to Iranian retaliation against Israeli/US attacks, Leeds hurriedly returned to the UK.
While many British nationals in Dubai struggle to secure flights back home, including those waiting for UK government-chartered flights, Leeds opted for a private jet for his family.
Just before boarding the private jet, Leeds suggested a straightforward escape route from Dubai, advising to travel to Oman and catch a flight to Heathrow for around £100,000. He expressed surprise that more people weren’t taking this route.
During another social media post from the private jet en route to the UK, Leeds downplayed the situation in Dubai, mentioning the government’s efforts to ensure safety and accommodation for stranded individuals. He emphasized that Dubai was not as unsafe as perceived.
Leeds, a former magician turned property expert, announced plans to host a large business event with over 1,000 attendees in the UK before returning to Dubai.
Despite his claims of Dubai’s safety, Leeds had previously expressed feeling trapped in the Emirate due to missile activities. Criticism mounted as some questioned his decision to leave Dubai during such uncertain times.
The situation unfolded as British Airways warned of limited availability on flights from Dubai to the UK, with services fully booked through early March. The airline stated they would consider additional services if possible.
