A woman has been accused in relation to the passing of a 23-year-old woman referred to as a ‘promising young talent.’
Stephanie Irons was discovered in the living area of her Nottingham residence following concerns raised by her colleagues regarding her well-being. She was declared deceased at the scene.
Adedapo Adegbola, a former coworker of hers residing on Woodborough Road in Mapperley, admitted to her homicide at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday, January 26.
He is set to receive his sentence at the same court on Thursday, February 5. Nottinghamshire Police announced today that Mary Onolunosen from Leeming Street in Mansfield has been charged with aiding an offender, as reported by Nottinghamshire Live.
Detective Inspector Stuart Barson, the lead investigator on the case, expressed, “This is an incredibly tragic event, and Steph’s family and friends are receiving ongoing support from our team.
“Our investigators have dedicated significant efforts to this case over the past few months, and we are pleased to have brought charges against a second suspect in connection with this inquiry.”
Previously, Miss Irons’ family paid tribute to the “promising young talent,” highlighting her infectious smile and laughter that brightened any room she entered. They described her as a “beautiful, affectionate, and compassionate daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend” with “a generous heart.”
