The man, described as Asian, in his mid-20s with dark brown curly hair and a goatee, approached the 14-year-old girl asking for directions before revealing himself from a bright blue sports car and swiftly driving away. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact them through 101, referencing crime number 13260066752, or anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
Detective Inspector Will Denton from Kirklees Safeguarding emphasized the seriousness of the incident, stating that they are conducting thorough investigations to locate the individual involved. He appealed to witnesses in the area at the time of the event to step forward if they saw the incident or a man matching the description provided. Additionally, he requested any dash cam footage from vehicles present in the vicinity during that period.
