A man has been taken into custody following a fatal car crash that claimed the life of a woman in her twenties.
The incident occurred when the 29-year-old woman, driving a Fiat 500, collided with a white Range Rover in Arclid, near Stoke-on-Trent. The man was apprehended on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on A534 Spark Lane at approximately 9 am on Saturday, but despite their efforts, the woman could not be saved. Her family has been notified, and authorities are seeking witnesses to the tragic event.
Detective Sergeant Iain Condliffe from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit stated that an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash. He urged anyone with information or relevant dashcam/CCTV footage to come forward and assist in the inquiry.
