A woman was rescued from a burning car in a harrowing incident captured on dramatic footage. A Florida deputy from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrived just in time to pull the woman to safety after she was forcibly carjacked. The car thief fled with the victim’s one-year-old child in the back seat, leading to a crash with another vehicle that resulted in a fiery wreck.
Deputy Almin Residovic bravely approached the burning car and broke the window to rescue the woman inside, whose hair was on fire. The woman, along with a 14-year-old who escaped earlier, was saved from the vehicle. The one-year-old child was safely removed from the stolen car.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office commended Officer Residovic for his courageous actions and the rapid response of all involved officers. The rescued woman expressed gratitude for being alive due to Officer Residovic’s quick intervention.
The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Richard Younger, was apprehended at the crash site and is facing multiple charges, including carjacking and leaving the scene of a crash. Police attributed the fiery wreck and the endangerment of the trapped driver to Younger.
