“Iran Releases Video of Missiles Targeting US Ship”

Date:

Iranian state media has released video footage showing cruise missiles allegedly targeted at the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier. According to Press TV, the American warship changed course after Iran fired land-to-sea missiles to assert its maritime sovereignty and confront perceived threats from the United States.

The video shows missiles being launched into the night sky while off-camera, a voice can be heard shouting, “Allahu Akbar,” which translates to “God is greater” or “God is the Greatest.”

Press TV reported that a senior Iranian official stated that Iran will end the conflict on its own terms and when its demands are met.

US officials confirmed that the aircraft carrier was undamaged, operational, and carrying out its duties in the Sea of Oman, as reported by The Sun.

Iranian Rear Admiral Shahram Irani cautioned that the US carrier group would face severe retaliation if it entered the range of Iran’s missile systems, as per a report by The Express.

The release of the video coincided with Tehran rejecting a US proposal to cease hostilities in the Middle East and continuing its attacks in the region.

The US had presented a 15-point plan, including suggestions for sanctions relief, scaling back Iran’s nuclear activities, missile limitations, and reopening the Strait of Hormuz. In response, Iran proposed its own plan through state television, which focused on halting the targeting of its officials, preventing future conflicts, providing compensation, ending hostilities, and asserting sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, stated that there have been no negotiations with the enemy so far and no plans for future talks.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt declined to disclose specific details of the US plan but confirmed ongoing discussions, hinting at potential further military action if negotiations fail to achieve core objectives.

The conflict has resulted in over 1,500 deaths in Iran, nearly 1,100 in Lebanon, 16 in Israel, and 13 US military personnel, along with numerous civilian casualties in the Gulf region. Millions of people in Lebanon and Iran have been displaced due to the ongoing hostilities.
