Police are seeking witnesses and video footage following a hit-and-run incident that caused severe injuries to a baby.
Authorities from Lancashire responded to a collision involving a White Ford Transit van and three stationary vehicles (a HGV and two cars) at the M6 slip road, Junction 29, on Friday, February 13, at 4:25 pm. The baby, a passenger in one of the cars, was swiftly taken to the hospital with serious injuries, while the van’s driver and passenger fled the scene.
An update from Lancashire Police states, “We urge anyone with information or footage regarding the road traffic collision at the Junction 29 slip road off the M6 northbound, Bamber Bridge, where a baby sustained serious injuries, to come forward.”
Sergeant Ben Elliott of the Roads Policing Unit expressed concern for the individuals who fled, believing they sustained severe injuries. Efforts are underway to locate them, with a plea to the public for assistance. Any dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident is requested, and witnesses yet to be interviewed are urged to reach out.
