A disturbing new photograph captures a man taking a selfie on a railway track just moments before being struck by a high-speed train. The tragic incident occurred in Chengahata village, Bangladesh, where 32-year-old Mohi Uddin was fatally hit by a train heading towards Dhaka. Reports indicate that Mohi was engrossed in a phone conversation while sitting on the tracks when the collision took place.
Jasim Uddin, the officer-in-charge of the Lakshman Government Railway Police, confirmed the details, stating that Mohiuddin lost his life after being hit by the moving train. Mohi, a rickshaw driver, had arrived in the Bagmara area for work and had ventured onto the railway line after dropping off passengers earlier that morning.
In a separate incident in India, two friends tragically lost their lives while attempting to take selfies near Rajkot. The friends, factory workers, were struck by the Veraval–Ahmedabad Vande Bharat train as they tried to take pictures. Sandeep Patel died instantly, while Sandip Koli succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
Similarly, a Russian tourist, Olga Perminova, met a tragic end on a famous railway line in Sri Lanka when she tried to capture a selfie. Olga sustained fatal head injuries after hitting a rock while leaning out of the train to take a photo. The accident occurred between the Badulla and Hali Ela railway stations.
The train, bound for Ella and passing through the stunning Nine Arches Bridge, was part of a renowned scenic route. Olga, a grandmother and security guard from the Moscow region, was visiting Sri Lanka as part of a Russian tour group.
