The bodies of a married couple were found wrapped in a carpet in Malaysia. Authorities reported that a 65-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman were discovered in a residence in Kampung Belau, Merbok. Their 29-year-old son was also found in a bedroom with neck injuries. Sharp weapons were located near the son’s body, and the victims were identified as Zikri Abdul Rahman, Suraya Man, and Muhammad Shakir Zufayri Abdul Aziz.
The police were notified by the public after the family had not been seen for three days. Upon investigation, law enforcement officers found the deceased couple in their home following reports of a strong odor in the vicinity. The decomposition indicated that the couple had been deceased for more than two days, with the son likely passing away later.
Reports suggest that the son had a history of mental health challenges. Post-mortem examinations were scheduled to take place at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar, as authorities treat the case as a homicide investigation.
