A prison surveillance camera captured a probation officer kissing a convicted murderer. Bethany Dent-Reynolds’ inappropriate relationship with inmate Kieran Robinson, who is serving time for fatally stabbing a teenager in London in 2020, was revealed in an investigation. The 27-year-old probation officer initiated the connection with Robinson at HMP Belmarsh, the UK’s most secure prison.
Robinson, 26, is serving a 23-year sentence with his cousin Sean Robinson for the murder of 18-year-old Donnell Rhule six years ago. Despite Robinson’s transfer to HMP Lowdham Grange in Nottinghamshire, Dent-Reynolds continued to visit him. CCTV footage from the prison showed them embracing, kissing, and sitting together on a sofa.
During the court proceedings, footage displayed the pair hugging, kissing, and sharing sexually explicit messages and phone calls. Dent-Reynolds, residing in Forest Hill, southeast London, admitted to misconduct in a public office and received an eight-month prison term. She confessed to the inappropriate relationship with Robinson between February 15, 2024, and May 3, 2024.
Dent-Reynolds also admitted causing unauthorized access to data held in a computer and denied a charge of a romantic relationship with Robinson during a different period. She pleaded guilty to the initial charge, leading to her eight-month sentence. Another charge involving computer manipulation was kept on file.
