“Massive Effort to Extinguish Church Fire in Southall”

Around 70 firefighters, along with 10 fire engines, are currently battling a fire that erupted at a church in the capital city. According to the London Fire Brigade, the incident took place at a chapel on South Road in Southall. The authorities reported that parts of the ground floor, second floor, and roof of the building are engulfed in flames.

Emergency response teams from Southall, Ealing, Heston, and neighboring fire stations swiftly responded to the scene following numerous calls from the public alerting them about the fire outbreak.

A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade mentioned that South Road has been closed in both directions between Park Road and High Street. The public is advised to steer clear of the area as a safety precaution. Two 32-meter turntable ladders were utilized by the firefighters to combat the flames from an elevated position.

The Fire Brigade’s Control Officers received the first distress call at 9:30 pm and promptly dispatched crews to the location. By 12:38 am, the fire was successfully brought under control.

The London Fire Brigade has confirmed that the situation is now contained, and efforts are underway to fully extinguish the blaze at the church in Southall.
