Turkey Condemns Netanyahu as “Hitler of Our Time”

Date:

Turkey has strongly condemned Benjamin Netanyahu, labeling him as the “Hitler of our time.” The criticism stemmed from the Israeli Prime Minister’s recent social media post targeting Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Netanyahu vowed to continue combating Iran’s alleged terrorist activities while accusing Erdoğan of supporting them and mistreating Kurdish citizens.

In retaliation, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement likening Netanyahu to Hitler and accused Israel of disrupting peace efforts and pursuing expansionist agendas in the region. The ministry highlighted Netanyahu’s alleged involvement in war crimes and crimes against humanity, referencing an existing arrest warrant against him by the International Criminal Court.

Furthermore, Turkish officials emphasized their commitment to standing with innocent civilians and ensuring accountability for Netanyahu’s actions. The escalating tensions between the two countries coincided with Erdoğan cautioning Donald Trump about potential provocations following the US-Iran ceasefire. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan disclosed the possibility of extending the ceasefire to facilitate ongoing negotiations, emphasizing the importance of addressing nuclear concerns and potential Israeli interference.

Fidan underscored the need for progress in negotiations and expressed optimism about overcoming challenges with the support of mediators and involved parties. The Turkish government remains dedicated to promoting peace efforts and resolving diplomatic impasses.
