“Stranded easyJet Passengers Face Ordeal in Milan”

Date:

More than 100 passengers of easyJet are reportedly stuck in Milan after missing their flight. Travelers shared on social media about enduring lengthy queues at border control in their attempt to depart from Linate Airport in Milan, Italy.

Reports indicate that some passengers fell ill after waiting in the heat for their easyJet flight bound for Manchester Airport on Sunday night. Vicky Chapman, along with her family, found themselves among the 105 stranded passengers at Milan Linate Airport when their 11 am flight departed without them.

The flight was purportedly delayed for 59 minutes due to passport control issues but eventually took off as the crew reached their maximum working hours. Vicky, along with her family, is now stranded in Milan until Tuesday.

According to Vicky, they arrived at the airport early but were denied entry through passport control and labeled as ‘no shows’ for the flight despite facing delays at passport control. The situation escalated with no assistance provided, leading to discomfort and health issues among passengers.

EasyJet mentioned they were assisting passengers and attributed the delays to passport control issues related to the new European Entry/Exit System. The airline expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and emphasized the need for border authorities to address the delays effectively during the system’s implementation.
