Russian politician Dmitry Rogozin, a close ally of President Vladimir Putin, is advocating for strikes on the home addresses of prominent Western politicians in retaliation for their support of Ukraine. Rogozin criticized the list of targets identified by Russia, which included locations in London, Reading, Leicester, and Suffolk, alleging these politicians were involved in supplying weapons to Ukraine.
He emphasized the need to target the work and home addresses of Western politicians who are perceived as responsible for shedding Russian blood, labeling them as military targets and war criminals deserving annihilation. Russia has repeatedly accused Britain of supplying missiles or drones used against Russian territory.
Rogozin, a former Russian deputy prime minister and current senator for an occupied Ukrainian territory, also leads a drone unit fighting for the Kremlin. He hinted at the idea of following Israel’s strategy of eliminating the political and military leadership of the enemy state, asserting the necessity of this approach. While not specifying the Western leaders he intended to target, Rogozin claimed that Kyiv receives significant technological and financial support from various countries, including Britain and the EU.
Moreover, he criticized the Ministry of Defence’s published list of targets as just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the support provided to Russia’s adversaries. Rogozin, a former Russian envoy to NATO and a key figure in Russia’s space agency, has been involved in testing Russia’s largest nuclear missile, the Sarmat, also known as Satan-2.
