MS-13 Members Face Trial via Video Link

Video footage of the menacing individuals belonging to Central America’s most perilous gang has been projected into the courtroom from within the confines of a cutting-edge supermax penitentiary.

Approximately 500 purported associates of the infamous Mara Salvatrucha gang, commonly known as MS-13, made virtual appearances for a groundbreaking group trial.

Authorities in El Salvador allege that the organization is accountable for a staggering 47,000 criminal activities, notably 29,000 homicides carried out between 2012 and 2022.

The defendants, participating from the highly secure Counter-Terrorism Confinement Center, face accusations of attempting to establish a “shadow government,” as per the statements from the Attorney General’s Office.
