Scots caught in Dubai during attacks by Iranian forces have shared their harrowing experiences of fearing for their lives before being brought back home. More than 300 individuals returned to Scotland from Dubai on an Emirates flight, reuniting with relieved families at Edinburgh Airport late on Wednesday.

Victoria Cameron, 57, who is partially deaf and resides in Larkhall, received a warm welcome from her husband, Brian Cameron, with flowers in hand. Recalling the moment the missile strikes began, she expressed shock and fear, recounting the chaos and panic that ensued.

Brian Cameron, 59, expressed his relief at being reunited with his wife, stating that he was prepared to travel to Dubai by any means necessary to ensure her safety. Jack Crowe, 26, and holidaymakers Fiona Shearer, 45, and Lynn Buttercase, 49, also shared their tense moments during the attacks, reflecting on the initial blasts and the precautions they took.

Despite the initial fear and uncertainty, the situation was eventually brought under control, and people in Dubai remained calm. Kevin MacLean, who was fortunate to be away from the main impact zone, expressed joy at reuniting with his family and feeling grateful for their safety.

As the Scots reflect on their ordeal in Dubai, they are thankful for being safely back home and reunited with loved ones. The emotional journey from fear and uncertainty to relief and gratitude marks a significant experience for those affected by the recent events in Dubai.
