Her visit coincided with the Hindu festival of Holi and included stops at the Aakash Odedra Dance Company and the Shreeji Dham Haveli Hindu temple. She engaged with the crowd outside both venues, spreading joy and warmth.

Starting her day in Leicester, the Duchess met Aakash Odedra, a renowned choreographer and dancer leading the Aakash Odedra Company. She then explored the tranquil temple, known for its worship space and community offerings such as yoga, language classes, and musical events.

During the visit, the Duchess waved to onlookers at the Aakash Odedra Company and interacted with worshippers at the Shreeji Dham Haveli Hindu Temple, graciously accepting flowers from well-wishers. She observed the dancers’ performances and even joined in a dance at the temple, embracing the city’s British Indian culture, community, and heritage.
