“Missing Woman Carol Hillier’s Body Found in River”

Police have made a tragic discovery while searching for a missing woman. Carol Hillier from Sandy, Bedfordshire, disappeared over three weeks ago in February. The 64-year-old was last spotted near The Old Anchor Pub in Sutton, Cambridgeshire, on Sunday, February 15, at around 11 am, according to authorities. They confirmed finding a body in the river at Sutton Gault near Ely during the search for Carol.

Although formal identification is pending, the police have informed Carol’s family about the discovery. Investigators had been combing water and overgrown areas close to where her silver Mercedes E Class was parked. A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police expressed sadness over the recovery of the body and mentioned that Carol’s family had been notified. No formal identification has been conducted yet. The police also extended gratitude to everyone who assisted in the search for Carol.
