“Counter-Terror Police Investigate Arson of Jewish Charity Ambulances”

Date:

An investigation by counter-terror police is underway following a devastating arson attack on ambulances owned by a Jewish charity in north London. Four Hatzola ambulances were deliberately set on fire in Golders Green early Monday morning. While no arrests have been made yet, authorities are looking into an online claim from a terror group named Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia, which has taken responsibility for the attack in a circulated Telegram post.

A video posted on the group’s Telegram channel displayed Google Maps images of the ambulances and explosions. The Islamic Movement of the Companions of the Right, a new terror group, is believed to be behind the incident. Reports suggest that these attacks are part of a broader strategy aimed at intimidating and psychologically affecting Jewish communities in Europe.

Israeli officials have linked the group to pro-Iranian networks, indicating a potential connection to the ongoing conflict between Iran, the US, and Israel. The group’s focus seems to be on targets associated with Israel, as evidenced by their interest in the Machzike Hadath Synagogue in Golders Green. The group has also been linked to recent attacks on Jewish sites in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Although it is too early to definitively tie the attack to Iran, the rapid rise of Iranian state threats in recent years is a cause for concern, according to Mt Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley. Counter Terrorism Police are leading the investigation and are urging anyone with information or footage related to the arson attack to come forward for assistance.
