A new photo of Prince Louis, along with a video of him enjoying the beach, has been unveiled by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to mark his eighth birthday.
Captured during a recent family trip to Cornwall, the images depict a beaming Louis in a blue quarter-zip jumper, playfully posing on a boat against the backdrop of the sea. The photographs were taken by photographer Matt Porteous, who has previously worked closely with the royal family.
Prince William and Kate shared the picture on their social media platforms, extending birthday wishes to their youngest child. Additionally, a short clip, also shot by Porteous, was posted later, showing Louis engaging in various beach activities like cricket, sandcastle building, and swimming in a wetsuit.
Louis, who turned eight, is the great-grandson of the late Prince Philip, who had a distinguished Naval career. The young prince’s grandfather, the King, also served in the Navy as the Prince of Wales.
The royal family expressed gratitude for the well-wishes received for Louis and shared glimpses of his playful nature and outdoor adventures. As the fourth in line to the throne, Louis is gradually being introduced to public life alongside his elder siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
