“Prince William and Princess Kate Celebrate 15th Wedding Anniversary with Educational Charity Visit”

Date:

Prince William and Princess Kate marked their 15th wedding anniversary by visiting IntoUniversity, an education charity that received support from Their Royal Highnesses’ Royal Wedding Gift Fund in 2011. The royal couple engaged with Year 5 students from Victory Primary School at the charity’s Walworth site, where the children were participating in educational activities and workshops.

IntoUniversity, dedicated to assisting disadvantaged youth in reaching their full potential, was selected as one of the 26 beneficiaries of Their Royal Highnesses’ Royal Wedding Gift Fund in 2011, providing crucial donations during a pivotal period for the charity.

The Royal Wedding Gift Fund allowed well-wishers to donate to chosen charities instead of giving traditional wedding gifts to the royal couple. This initiative generated over £1 million for causes important to Prince William and Princess Kate.

During their visit, William and Kate joined the students in a workshop aimed at fostering aspirations, academic achievement, and the development of essential skills for success in school and beyond.

The workshop, known as ‘FOCUS Days,’ is designed to introduce students to university life and spark interest in future academic pursuits. The session included activities such as exploring Astronomy, team challenges, and a creative task centered around living in space.

Rachel Carr, Chief Executive and Co-Founder of IntoUniversity, expressed gratitude for the support received through the Royal Wedding Gift Fund. She highlighted the significant impact it had on the charity’s growth and ability to support thousands of young people annually.

Following the visit, reports from reliable royal sources indicated that the Prince and Princess of Wales enjoyed lunch at The Goring in London, where Kate had stayed the night before their wedding in 2011.

To commemorate their anniversary, William and Kate shared a new holiday photo with their children on social media. The image captures the family relaxing barefoot in the grass with their pet dogs during a holiday in Cornwall, captioned “Celebrating 15 years of marriage.”

The couple first met over 20 years ago at the University of St Andrews before their marriage at Westminster Abbey in 2011. They shared a balcony kiss at Buckingham Palace, delighting onlookers.
