“Prince Andrew Seeks Enhanced Security After Threat”

Date:

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is reportedly seeking the reinstatement of his taxpayer-funded security following an alleged threat near his residence. The incident occurred when a masked individual approached Andrew while he was walking his dogs on the Sandringham Estate. The suspect, identified as Alex Jenkinson, was arrested and charged with various offenses, including using threatening language and failing to provide a blood sample while in custody.

Although Andrew was unharmed, the encounter left him shaken, prompting his request for enhanced security measures. Despite losing his royal titles and privileges in 2025, Andrew had his personal allowance and security detail revoked by King Charles in 2024.

While Andrew maintains a private security team, a close source mentioned the need for a reassessment of his security arrangements due to increased safety concerns. The individual highlighted the heightened risk to Andrew’s safety, emphasizing the importance of appropriate security measures for his high-profile status.

Norfolk Police confirmed the arrest of the suspect following the incident in Wolferton, with charges related to public order offenses and possession of an offensive weapon. The suspect is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear in court.

A mobile home was recently observed at Andrew’s new residence, March Farm, intended to accommodate his security personnel. This arrangement contrasts with his previous living situation at the 30-bedroom Royal Lodge mansion in Windsor, where there was ample space for security staff. Andrew’s relocation to the Sandringham Estate underscores the evolving security needs in light of recent events.
