“UK Child Abducted by Father in Cyprus Escalates”

Date:

A young child from the UK has reportedly been abducted by his father in Cyprus. The incident took place in Limassol when the 29-year-old Turkish Cypriot man forcibly took the two-year-old boy from his British mother’s residence after crossing into the southern part of the island illegally.

The father, accompanied by another individual, intruded into the house, seized the child, and escaped in a small white car. Law enforcement authorities are currently conducting a search operation for the suspect and have already inspected the vehicle used in the getaway.

It is believed that the man fled back to the northern Turkish-controlled area of Cyprus, prompting local authorities to mobilize a special task force to locate him. Limassol’s deputy police chief, Lefteris Kyriakou, mentioned that an arrest warrant will be issued for the father, who is also wanted for a previous domestic violence case from November 2025.

The child’s mother is part of a support program called ‘Hope,’ designed for victims of domestic abuse as per local reports. This unfolding situation is being closely monitored, and further updates will be provided as new developments arise.
