While Melania did travel to China with her husband in 2017, this time, President Trump was joined by senior US officials and prominent CEOs. Melania opted to stay in Washington DC to observe the 180-day anniversary of the Fostering the Future Executive Order signing, which aligns with her efforts to assist children in state care.
According to a source, Melania was never slated to attend the trip, even before its postponement due to the US-Iran conflict. The source emphasized Melania’s dedication to her initiatives in the US and her focus on familial responsibilities at present.
Although Melania will not be present during President Xi Jinping and his wife’s visit to the White House in September, filmmaker Brett Ratner, known for producing Melania’s documentary, has joined President Trump’s delegation in China. Ratner, alongside other business figures like Tim Cook and Elon Musk, is part of the high-profile group accompanying the President.
Ratner’s involvement in Melania’s documentary marks his return to Hollywood after past allegations of misconduct. The documentary, purchased by Amazon for $75 million, follows Melania’s preparations leading up to the 2025 presidential inauguration.

A photo shared by Lara Trump featured Natalie Harp, Trump’s executive assistant, who plays a significant role in managing Trump’s social media presence and content sharing.
