Leaked intelligence reports indicate that Vladimir Putin is allegedly planning an assault on NATO territory in the Baltics, as per statements made by Volodymyr Zelensky.
Reportedly, Putin is devising a strategy to launch an offensive from the allied nation of Belarus, potentially targeting key decision-making centers in Kyiv. This scheme raises concerns for neighboring countries like Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia, which share borders with Belarus.
Zelensky disclosed, “Russia is evaluating potential operations to the south and north of Belarusian territory – either towards the Chernihiv-Kyiv route in Ukraine or directly against a NATO member from Belarus.” The Suwalki Gap, a narrow corridor connecting NATO allies Poland and Lithuania, is perceived as a vulnerable point for the alliance. Both Lithuania and Latvia have bolstered their borders with Belarus and Russia.
Expressing caution, Zelensky stated, “We are monitoring Russia’s efforts to involve Belarus further in the conflict with Ukraine.” He emphasized Ukraine’s determination to defend its territory and people against any collaboration between Alexander Lukashenko and Russia.
Alleged confidential Russian files outline targets, including numerous political and military installations, as well as Zelensky’s headquarters and a state retreat in the Kyiv region.
Simultaneously, Ukraine reportedly struck Russia with significant blows overnight. An explosion at the Azot chemical plant in Nevinnomyssk disrupted ammunition supplies crucial for the Russian military. In Tatarstan, a massive fire erupted at a plastics warehouse complex in Naberezhnye Chelny.
In a concerning development, Russia targeted civilian areas in Odesa. Governor Oleh Kiper reported, “The enemy launched a large-scale drone attack in southern Odessa, resulting in damage to residential areas and port infrastructure, along with injuries.”
