Despite being at the center of the investigation, the businessman has consistently maintained his innocence, asserting that his 71-year-old father’s demise was accidental. A spokesperson for the Mossos d’Esquadra, the Catalan regional police force, verified the detention of Jonathan Andic on suspicion of his father’s homicide.
Isak Andic, originally from Turkey, was visiting the Collbato Caves in the Montserrat mountains with Jonathan when the tragic incident occurred on December 14, 2024. Reports from Spanish media outlets indicated that Jonathan had transitioned from a witness to a formal suspect in the police examination of his father’s death.
