“JPMorgan Executive Files Defamation Lawsuit”

Date:

A senior JPMorgan Chase executive accused of being involved in inappropriate behavior with a junior banker is fighting back against what she calls false accusations. Lorna Hajdini, 37, has filed a defamation lawsuit against the former employee who made claims of racial abuse, sexual assault, and drugging against her in a previous legal action.

The lawsuit, submitted to the New York State Supreme Court, alleges that the ex-banker orchestrated a smear campaign over several months to tarnish Hajdini’s reputation with the aim of extorting millions of dollars. Hajdini and her legal team vehemently deny all the allegations, labeling them as entirely fabricated and malicious.

According to reports, the JPMorgan executive’s lawyers condemned the ex-employee for spreading falsehoods, including labeling Hajdini as a racist and sexual predator. They assert that the motive behind the allegations was to damage her reputation for financial gain. The lawsuit also highlights that the same individual had previously made similar false accusations of sexual misconduct at a different workplace.

Hajdini’s legal team aims to clear her name, seeking to address the harm caused and hold the ex-banker accountable for what they describe as reprehensible and unlawful behavior. They argue that the initial explosive lawsuit against Hajdini was part of a prolonged effort to smear her reputation.

The former employee’s initial claims, which alleged coercive sexual encounters initiated by Hajdini, were withdrawn for revisions but resurfaced in court with purported new evidence, including testimony from an anonymous source. JPMorgan has expressed full support for Hajdini and her efforts to defend herself against what they view as baseless accusations.

The situation escalated when the ex-staff member faced scrutiny for fabricating sexual harassment claims following an internal investigation that found no substantiating evidence. Allegations of inappropriate conduct supposedly dating back to 2024 were brought forward by the former employee, who later attempted to negotiate a substantial settlement to exit the company. Hajdini’s supporters maintain that these claims are entirely unfounded and have damaged her reputation unjustly.
