British Airways has made adjustments to its flight schedule for the Summer 2026 season in response to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The airline has reduced the frequency of flights to seven major international airports in the region due to the current tensions between Iran and US-Israeli forces.
As part of the updated schedule, British Airways has decreased the number of flights to several Middle Eastern cities. Flights to Dubai will now operate once daily instead of the previous three daily services, with plans to resume a second daily flight on October 16. Similarly, flights to Doha, Riyadh, and Tel Aviv have been reduced from twice daily to once daily, with normal frequencies expected to resume on August 1.
In addition to these changes, British Airways has decided to permanently discontinue its route to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, starting from April 24. The airline stated that these adjustments have been made to provide clarity for customers amidst the current situation in the Middle East. British Airways is closely monitoring the developments and is in direct communication with affected passengers to offer various options.
Since the onset of disruptions, British Airways has facilitated the return of numerous customers, operated relief flights, and increased capacity on key long-haul routes. The airline remains committed to evaluating the situation continuously and implementing additional flights where feasible.
