“Community Mourns Loss of Talented Schoolgirl Adriana Retyte”

The family of a talented schoolgirl has shared a heartfelt tribute following her tragic passing at home. Adriana Retyte, aged 14, passed away two days after emergency services responded to an incident at her residence in Ashwellthorpe, Norfolk, on May 8. Reports indicate that she received CPR on-site before being transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where she later succumbed.

In an emotional social media post, Adriana’s mother, Greta Sagger, 31, expressed their sorrow, stating, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our beloved Adriana.” The family also extended gratitude to all those who have offered love and support during this difficult period.

A public announcement on Facebook mentioned that Adriana’s funeral is scheduled for the following day. Greta, who works as a manager at Strand Development Limited, a business owned by her husband Ben Sagger, expressed the family’s appreciation.

Tributes poured in for Adriana on a fundraising platform created in her memory to support the suicide prevention charity Papyrus. One donor, Sofiia Katrechko, described Adriana as a bright soul who brought joy and laughter to those around her.

Adriana, born on February 27, 2012, in Drogheda, Ireland, was identified during the inquest by Norfolk assistant coroner Maeve Sykes. A comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of her death is set for October 16 at 10 am.

A Year 9 student at Langley School, near Loddon, in Norfolk, Adriana was a valued member of the school community known for her kindness and positive attitude. Langley School officials expressed deep sorrow over her loss, highlighting her academic dedication and contributions to various school activities.

The school assured that support services are available for all affected individuals and urged respect for the family’s privacy as they cope with their grief.
