It is known that the parade ground is closed, and armed police are present at the scene. Authorities are advising individuals not to enter St James’ Park, which is situated next to the parade ground.
Horse Guards Parade, situated between Whitehall and St. James’ Park, is known for hosting Trooping the Colour on the King’s official birthday in June. According to reports, people are being cautioned by law enforcement not to enter St James’ Park.
Tony Diver, a political editor at The Telegraph, tweeted that armed police have evacuated Horse Guards Parade citing a suspicious package. An update mentioned that the Cabinet War Rooms were also evacuated due to unforeseen circumstances, and King Charles St has been closed to traffic.
