In a move ordered by former President Donald Trump, the United States has disclosed a fresh set of documents related to unidentified flying objects (UFOs), as part of an ongoing declassification initiative. These documents contain accounts of individuals witnessing puzzling green orbs, discs, and fireballs traversing the skies, with no definitive explanations found yet.
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth acknowledged that these “unidentified anomalous phenomena” have sparked widespread speculation and emphasized the importance of making this information accessible to the American public. The Pentagon recently made public over 50 previously classified videos and records linked to unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), the official term used by the government for UFOs.
Among the newly unveiled materials is footage captured by a US Coast Guard infrared sensor in April 2024, depicting a mysterious object flying near an aircraft in the southeastern United States. Additionally, a video named ‘Syrian UAP instant acceleration’ was recorded by an infrared sensor aboard a US military platform in 2021 and later shared on a classified network in 2024, according to Pentagon sources.
Despite extensive investigations conducted by the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), many of the incidents remain unresolved and devoid of any clear explanations. Notably, military officials have found no evidence of extraterrestrial involvement in these occurrences.
Also included in the latest disclosure is footage from a classified site under US Central Command, showing a spherical object flying over a populated area in 2020 before ascending into the sky. The files also reveal a senior US intelligence officer’s encounter with two large orbs emitting light alongside their helicopter during a mission. Fighter jets were dispatched to identify the orbs without success, as the objects reportedly began pursuing the aircraft.
The initial release of Pentagon files, dating back to the late 1940s, garnered significant global attention, with more than a billion views worldwide, as confirmed by the Pentagon’s spokesperson. Former President Trump emphasized the importance of transparency in disclosing government files related to alien life, unidentified aerial phenomena, and UFOs, allowing the public to form their own conclusions.
