“Tragedy Strikes Isle of Man TT as Rider Daniel Ingham Dies at Doran’s Bend”

Date:

The Isle of Man TT race organizers have confirmed the tragic death of Daniel Ingham, aged 33, after a fatal incident during a qualifying session. Ingham, hailing from Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire, lost his life following an accident at Doran’s Bend on the race course.

The incident occurred during the initial lap of the third qualifying round. Ingham is survived by his wife, Helayna, and their two children. A statement released by the Isle of Man TT Races expressed deep sorrow over the unfortunate event and highlighted Ingham’s racing background and accomplishments.

Ingham, who first competed in the Manx Grand Prix in 2016 before moving on to the Isle of Man TT Races, had achieved notable success in his ten-year racing career, including securing a first-place finish in the 2024 Senior Manx Grand Prix.

This marks the first fatality at the TT since 2024 and comes shortly after a fatal incident at the Billown circuit on the island during the Pre-TT Classic Road Races last weekend. Tributes have been pouring in for Ingham, with fans acknowledging the risks involved in the demanding Isle of Man TT races.

In a separate incident on the same day, popular Sidecar class competitors Ryan and Callum Crowe, winners of the 2025 race, were hospitalized following a crash. The Isle of Man TT administration has decided to suspend the Sidecar class for the remainder of the ongoing event, citing safety concerns and the need for a thorough review of operational safety measures.

The decision to suspend the Sidecar class was made in the interest of the safety of all participants, spectators, and event officials. Updates regarding the situation will be communicated through official Isle of Man TT Races channels in due course.
