Six individuals were stabbed, and a law enforcement officer was cut with a knife during the Arsenal Champions Parade. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that 24 individuals were apprehended following the deployment of 500 officers.

Authorities are in pursuit of one assailant in connection with a severe stabbing incident that left a man in critical condition. The victim was hospitalized after sustaining stab wounds near Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium during the Premier League title celebration.

The violence occurred around 8:30 pm on Hornsey Road, a short distance from the stadium in north London. Emergency services, including an air ambulance, responded to the scene, transporting the injured man, in his twenties, to the hospital for treatment of his knife-inflicted injuries.

Metropolitan Police issued a statement stating, “At 20:38hrs, a report of a stabbing on Hornsey Road, N7, was received.” The injured man, in his twenties, was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment of his knife wounds. He is currently in stable condition, with non-life-threatening injuries.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the police using the provided contact details.

The stabbing incident occurred amid the celebration of Arsenal’s Premier League victory after 22 years. The Metropolitan Police reported a total of 24 arrests made during the event, with offenses ranging from disorderly conduct and drug-related incidents to assaults on emergency personnel.

Various incidents, including fans climbing on a police van roof, chanting, and causing disturbances, were captured in social media footage. The parade occurred less than a day following Arsenal’s defeat in the Champions League final, attracting a significant crowd estimated at one million attendees.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) reported rescuing approximately 75 individuals from high-level incidents and cautioned against climbing on rooftops during the festivities. LFB officials also responded to a hotel fire believed to have been sparked by a stray flare.

Assistant Commissioner of LFB, Pat Goulbourne, mentioned, “Fortunately, the fire resulted in minimal exterior damage to the building. Pyrotechnics were believed to have triggered fire alarms at multiple locations in the vicinity.”

Ahead of the parade, the club issued guidelines urging attendees to show respect towards local establishments and residences. Fans were advised to comply with event staff, stewards, and law enforcement along the parade route to ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration.

Supporters were reminded that climbing or attaching items to street fixtures, as well as the use of flares, fireworks, and pyrotechnics, were strictly prohibited and could lead to legal consequences.
